I’ll fully admit that I don’t like clutter. That’s especially true in the kitchen: It’s often my workspace, so if the sink is full and the countertops aren’t tidy, I can’t function at 100%. But kids’ stuff can take up so much space, which is why I try to buy only what they’ll actually use until it’s absolutely worn out. If something is just collecting dust, I’ll donate it.
I have two kiddos—ages 5 and 7—and there are some kitchen items I’d never buy again, whereas I would buy others over and over. Many of the ones I love have lasted the test of time (aka the toddler, preschool, and early elementary years), so I actually haven’t had to replace them. Right now, some of my faves are marked down for Amazon Prime Day, so if you have little ones, consider making space in your kitchen for these deals.
Before my kids were born, I saw my niece drinking from one of these curious-looking cups. It tipped, I reached, and it actually was a miracle—there wasn’t a drop in sight. These cups have a spill-proof design that actually works; their lids are perfect for training the tiniest humans to drink, and reseals once the sipping stops. I also love that the Munchkin is dishwasher-safe, durable, fits into cupholders, and comes in a wide variety of sizes and super-fun colors.
I was never a waffle person… and then I had kids. My entire life was spent eating savory breakfasts (bring on the eggs, bacon, and hash browns), but at some point, my kids asked for waffles. So I did my research and bought a waffle maker. Now might be the time to add a Belgian-style one since the Ninja is 30% off.
